All accommodation, with exception of the Imperial Resort Beach and Botanical Beach Hotels should be paid at check-in preferably by cash. Imperial Resort Beach and Imperial Botanical Beach Hotels have a pre-payment option and can accept on-site payments by credit card. Personal checks are not accepted. For purposes of the congress only, delegates wishing to reside in Imperial Botanical Beach Hotel should place their bookings with the management of Imperial Resort Beach Hotel. In order to avoid disappointment, PLEASE BOOK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Entebbe has developed into a prime destination for conferences and tourists, thus, rooms are going fast!

IMPORTANT: Please BOOK YOUR ACCOMMODATION ONLY WHEN YOU HAVE REGISTERED FOR THE CONGRESS. When you contact the Hotels, make sure that you are quoting “IPS congress June 2006” so that the hotels will apply our special congress room rates for you!. If booking through us (see below), you only need to send us an email if it is not possible for you to select your room option from the congress registration page.

All prices are inclusive of 18% VAT and are cited either in US$ or in Ugandan Shilling (converted into US$ in brackets according to the current exchange rate, June 2005). Please acknowledge that all prices are only quotes and thus subject to slight changes by June 2006!

Maps showing hotel locations will be available in your conference bag. For Hotels without complementary airport drop-off, the IPS committee will arrange at a cost, please inform us if you need a pickup/drop off (estimated cost will be $10US for pickup/drop off)

Please bear in mind that the US$, the pound sterling, and the Euro are the strongest currencies used in Uganda and are the easiest to exchange. We recommend that you change your currency into one of these currencies for your expenses while in Uganda. US dollar notes dated prior to 1997 are turned away, we recommend if you are using US$ to bring notes issued not earlier than the year 2000.

Description: The conference venue is the latest of Entebbe’s luxurious hotels. The five star hotel is located in a large garden landscape on the shores of Lake Victoria. There is a swimming pool, several bars and restaurants, communication services and a health club. Residential rooms have internet access. Description: One of Entebbe’s luxurious hotels on the shores of Lake Victoria. This four star hotel has a swimming pool, sauna, communication services and several restaurants. Description: This cosy little hotel is one of the pearls of Entebbe’s hotel scene. Set in a wonderful private garden, it contains 6 luxurious rooms, a well sorted bar and a sitting room. Name: Uganda Wildlife Education Centre (UWEC)

Description: Located in the Ugandan Wildlife and Education Centre of Entebbe, these two bungalows offer a green option of accommodation and free entrance to the zoo. Nevertheless, the bungalows with their own bathroom are rather far off the track and will probably involve a lot of walking. The nearest restaurant is near the UWEC gate, about 1km away.

Description: You will be accommodated in small guesthouse with 11 rooms. There are three twin rooms, four double rooms and four single rooms. All rooms have showers and toilets. There is a little bar and restaurant in the garden. No TV in the rooms, but DSTV is in the reception.
